The fine print.
Customer error, dissatisfaction, no longer wanting a product or any other reason for wanting to return a product other than documented error will not be accepted. Items in the customer’s possession for longer than 14 days will not be accepted for return. There are no returns on special order/made to order items.
All returns and cancellations are entirely at the discretion of Southern Grace LLC.
Southern Grace LLC accepts no liability for products damaged by misuse, improper installation, or modification.
All cancellations and returns must be authorized by Southern Grace LLC, and an Return Authorization Number (RA#) must be issued and used when returning products or they will be denied. Please e-mail us to receive a (RA#)
Once an item is shipped it can no longer be canceled.
All returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
We will not accept returns on any opened, used or modified merchandise.
Returns and cancellations are solely determined by Southern Grace LLC.
All returns will receive a refund once the returned item is received by Southern Grace LLC and inspected.
There are no refunds or credits on shipping or handling charges. In the case of a return, the return shipping is at the expense of the customer.
Products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty only; settlement of all claims is subject to manufacturer’s waiting period to allow inspection of warranted goods.
DELIVERY/FREIGHT:
Delivery is via tractor-trailer unless otherwise specified.
Please note that the merchandise is palletized. We offer different freight service options.
-Business delivery will usually be the least costly. The business must receive regular tractor trailer deliveries and have a loading dock or fork truck. Some businesses will not qualify and is totally up to the delivering company.
-Trucking terminal pick up. If you choose terminal pick up you will pick up from delivery companies closest terminal to your address. It is up to you to arrange pick up.
-Home delivery, If you choose home delivery remember a tractor trailer will need to have access. If you requested lift gate service the freight company will drop the pallet curbside. They will not drive up a private drive. It is up to the freight company where they can deliver.
Southern Grace LLC will not be held responsible for any issues that arise as a result of customer unloading of product or any delivery issues. Southern Grace LLC will not be held responsible for any delivery delays once the product leaves our facility.
The customer is responsible for any and all additional fees associated with special delivery requests/services or any additional fees added by the freight company.
All product is carefully inspected and packed prior to being shipped. Any & all claims must be noted at the time of delivery on the Delivery Receipt and the customer must notify Southern Grace LLC within 48 hours of delivery for any claim to be honored.
GLAZED AND TERRA COTTA
Our glazed and terra cotta pottery is high fired between 990 (terra cotta) and 1000 (glazed) degrees centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. They are also subjected to rigorous testing in freeze-thaw conditions to ensure quality. Due to the processes used in the manufacturing of our hand-made and hand-glazed containers, all variations with respect to firing, color, size and crackling are not deemed to be defects but are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. The glazes on our containers consist of natural, not chemical, components and therefore the final color of the product will vary. This process creates the unique beauty of each piece.
Terra cotta and earthenware are always slightly porous. Although this allows plant roots to breathe, it also constitutes a risk in winter. When the temperature drops below freezing, any water present in the pot walls will freeze and expand. This will cause the pot wall to spall and can ultimately destroy the pot. Whether this actually happens or not, depends upon the quantity of water that can be absorbed by the fired clay. This, in turn, depends upon the quality of the clay and the way it has been processed.
Machine-made terra cotta planters can absorb a lot of water and are the most vulnerable to winter damage. Hand-made containers absorb far less water because the clay is processed differently. They are frost-resistant if handled correctly. However, because any water held in a pot from rain or melting snow will freeze and expand, any pot made of a non-elastic material is at risk if left outside unprotected in winter. Accordingly, while the high firing temperature and quality of our glazed and terra cotta containers results in a durable and frost-resistant product, we still recommend that they be stored in a frost-free covered area in winter. If left outside, water may accumulate in the container and freeze, causing the planter to crack and break.
